Paper face | Paper ladybugs

zig-zag fold

THIS is how you want to re-fold your paper.

This way your cutouts will work. The other way, they won't.

draw a face

doll outline

Draw a shape on the front of your folded paper.

It can be any shape you want - as long as the ends of the shape - BOTH ENDS - overlap the ends of the paper.

Look at the face shape. See how the ears seem to go past the edge of the paper?

Look at the doll shape. See how the arms and feet seem to go past the edge of the paper?

That will "hook" all the shapes together when you are done with your cut-outs.

cut out face shape

Cut out your shape. Be careful to leave the ends uncut.

unfolded cut-outs

Now unfold your shapes.

silly faces You can even draw silly faces on them.
examples You can make all KINDS of cut-outs. Holiday cut-outs, paper dolls, ladybugs, etc. (See where I used the hole punch? I used the red scraps to make Christmas ornaments on the trees.)
