Using these shapes, and a little glue, you can make anything!

DUCK

Annie, 5 years old, made this duck with just three curls.

The body is one loose curl with one pinch at the tail.

The head is a tighter curl with a loose pinch at the back.

The beak is part of a curl (Annie cut off the extra).

Annie used tape for her duck. Tape or glue works fine. Tape is faster than glue.

FISH

You make this fish with three or four curls. Make two tight curls for the tail.

Loosen one curl for the body, and pinch once at the mouth.

If you want to add a fourth curl inside the fish, using another color, you can. This one would be a tight curl.

Glue the tail fins to the end of the loose body curl.

Glue the inside curl to the other end of the body curl.

HEART

This one only takes two curls.

Fold the long end of one curl -- just the size of a pencil eraser.

Glue it to the other long end.

Then glue the round ends together.

You may have to hold them together for a few minutes to get them to stick.

ROSE

This is a simple one, too.

Make three curls. One red (or whatever color you want your rose to be.)

Two green.

Pinch the green curls in two places -- on on each end of the curl, so they look like leaves.

Glue them to the bottom of the flower curl.

* If you want to, you can add a straight strip to the bottom for a stem.
