Inkless Tales for Grownups

Flazeebo Animal Twenty Questions Bean Toss Ring Toss Alphabet Word Chain

Alphabet Word Chain

Another great game for the car on summer road trips.

Visit the Blog for GrownupsHow to play:

The more people you have to play this game, the more fun it is. When you run through the alphabet, just start over again at A.

You can take turns starting with the oldest or the youngest player.

First player thinks of a word beginning with "A" -- for instance, "apple."

Second player MUST think of a word beginning with "B" -- but it must have SOME connection to the first word. "Boat," for example, might not work -- unless player two can come up with some explanation that the other players accept. "Banana" would work, however, because apples and bananas are both fruits.

The third word must start with "C." Now you're starting to stretch your imagination. "Cactus" might work -- because bananas and cacti are both plants.

"Desert," then, might be your fourth word.

And so on.

Grownups: this is a GREAT vocabulary builder, and cheating -- helping them along by teaching them a few new words -- is DEFINITELY encouraged.
